Session I: June 14-21, 2014
The Writing Online Workshop
This workshop is for writers who find themselves asking—or being asked—how to make the most of the tools and technologies now available to professional writers as well as professionals who write. Because today good writing is underwritten by good choices about what to write, what to write with, where to post or publish, and why, this workshop is for everyone whose job involves written communication to spend a week writing with emergent media, including social networks, blogs and microblogs, and audio/video podcasting. In particular, we welcome writers who seek new ways to promote their work and working professionals who would like to expand their writing repertoires. No previous experience with course media is required. Participants’ most important resource will be their willingness to play with language and technology.
Workshop is limited to 15 participants. Application due March 31, 2014. Based on your application, you will be assigned one of the following instructors: Jenn Fishman, Erin Krampetz. Both classes will work closely with videographer, Bump Halbritter.
The cost of this workshop is $2,595, which covers tuition, housing in a dorm room single, and daily breakfast and dinner. Please click here to see our cancellation policy.
