Scenes from
the 2002 Kenyon Review Award for Literary Achievement Dinner
Restaurant Daniel,
New York City
November 12, 2002
Attended by friends of E.L. Doctorow and The
Kenyon Review, this gala event was rich with surprises: an
unexpected visit by NYC Mayor Bloomberg, speeches by George Plimpton
and Roger Rosenblatt, and a special video tribute by actor Paul
Newman in honor of his fellow Kenyon alum and longtime friend. The
dinner was hosted by The Kenyon Review Board of Trustees and sponsored
by Bloomberg. Special thanks to photographer Patrick McMullan for
capturing the event on film.
